Airport Shuttle/Transportation Info
Cost: $350.00 each way per shuttle
We have a contract with a shuttle company at this price. The shuttle costs $350.00 each way regardless of if you have 2 people or 10 people. So obviously this is most cost effective with the more people you have. We will help coordinate guests with sharing shuttles if possible to reduce costs. If traveling in a group, we recommend trying to coordinate flights arriving close together to limit waiting time for shuttle. We stock the shuttle with a cooler with cold water, beer, soda and snacks for you to enjoy on your trip to Casa Morph beach house.
*Pickup/Drop-off at Cancun Airport. Driver will be holding a “Casa Morph beach house” sign.
Renting A Car
Casa Morph is accessible by modern paved roads and the new toll road, allowing direct transit more convenient. The new toll road is called (Avenue Colosio) from Cancun or Playa Del Carmen, and the toll is 92 pesos one way (about $5.50 US
*Side note- Although the drive to El Cuyo is beautiful during the day, we wouldn’t recommend nighttime driving being the roads are more narrow, poorly lit, and bordered by rainforest and small Mayan villages on both sides. This causes vehicles to go over many “topes” (speed bumps) and thus creates hazardous conditions for nighttime travel in an unfamiliar area.
Below is a packing list and some helpful hints to consider while planning for your activities in the Yucatan.
Suggested Packing Checklist:
• Sunglasses and crockies or something to secure them
• Water hat
• Wetsuit (Nov – March)
• Bug spray
• Lip protection with SPF
• Long sleeve tops, hoodies and pants for evenings. It can get chilly with the ocean breeze
Wetsuits (Spring-suits or Full suits)
We recommend a wetsuit (shorty or long) if you are visiting Casa Morph anytime from November through March, when a combination of coastal currents and wind chill can make the water wetsuit worthy for more comfort. While there is a chance you might not need your spring suit the whole time, it is always best to be prepared.
Study a little Spanish
It’s smart to learn more phrases so you can ease your way into the culture. It’s also respectful to try to speak a country’s native language and can be an enlightening experience to communicate in another language even if you can only say a few broken words.
Best Time(s) of Year to Visit
Well obviously anytime of the year is great to get away to the beach and great weather, but ideal windy months for kiting are from November-June. Feel free to check our link to our local wind tower for up to date wind conditions.
